Grow with this private one-hour yin yoga class with instructor Pam Rykken. Yin Yoga consists of poses done seated or lying down. Poses are held for 1 to 3 minutes, depending on the muscle groups that are affected. The intention of Yin Yoga is to "stress" the fascia in the body, creating space in the tight areas of the western body. Stillness is our intention in this class. Props (provided) will be used to support the body as it releases into each pose. Although this may sound like an opportunity to "nap", it is actually quite an intense experience. You can expect to feel lighter and more spacious at the end of the session. All levels are welcome. Class will be held in a private room in Pam's home. You will work with Pam directly to schedule this class. Pam has been a yoga instructor at multiple studios for the past 16 years. She has a 500 hour Registered Yoga Training Certificate. Her specialties are Hatha Yoga, Vini Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
